Propose a New Project

The Columbia REN can support your team with the design, implementation, and funding of a change project that will promote educator empowerment, teacher leadership, and a sense of belonging through school cultures and climates.

The Columbia REN can support your team with the design, implementation, and funding of a change project that will promote educator empowerment, teacher leadership, and a sense of belonging through school cultures and climates. Projects could include (but may not be limited to):

  • Participation compensation

  • Substitute costs

  • Literature and other training materials

  • Expert facilitators/coaches

  • Other related costs
     

Funded projects will be prioritized according to alignment with Columbia REN priorities (see rubric for project criteria details):

  • Educator Learning Communities focused on cultivating inclusive school/classroom cultures.

  • Support for BIPOC educators

  • Support for New Teachers

  • Support for mentors

  • Other ideas that create the conditions for educators to feel supported!


***Columbia REN funding is not intended for pre-existing programs. Project ideas will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Tell us about your change idea.
