What is the Columbia Regional Educator Network?
The Columbia Regional Educator Network (CREN) comprises 10 school districts and two education service districts located throughout Hood River, Wasco, Sherman, Wheeler, and Gilliam counties.
-
The Columbia REN is an educator-led, improvement-focused network that elevates and embraces teachers’ voices by emphasizing the Equity Lens (PDF) to interrupt historical patterns of inequities and support educators through every stage of their career, from recruitment through retirement.
-
The Columbia REN’s change ideas are the concepts or ideas which improve the processes, systems, and projects that enhance the teaching experience. By initially testing a small change and studying the impact, the Coordinating Body improves the design before implementing it across the region.
